Owned and operated by Andy, Sandbar wouldn’t work without the help of some epic people!
Andy’s very first SUP teacher introduced him to Reuben from FatStick 3 years ago, and since then, he has never looked back. By his own admission, Andy isn’t great at most sports, so when he found SUP, he knew that he’d found a hobby that brought with it, genuine passion.
Due to his serious infatuation with SUP, Andy has recently qualified with Surfsteps as a Flat Water & Open Water SUP Instructor and is also Surf Life Saving GB (SLSGB) qualified.
Very few things light Andy up like that moment when someone he’s teaching just gets ‘that feeling’ on a SUP. He says “it’s impossible to describe and will never leave you“. That’s why Andy stands by the mantra – “You’ll Never Know, Unless You Go“.
Sam Rogers has been SUPing for over 8 years and enjoys SUP Surfing all over the south coast. School Teacher by day – SUPer & Photographer all other times, Sam has a wealth of experience under his belt and brings a calm head and a relaxed style.
Hayley started SUPing in 2017 and is an advocate for the mental benefits SUP brings. A self confessed Fair Weather SUPer, Hayley loves being out on the water and has genuinely found something that allows her time to find her own headspace. Although she isn’t a qualified instructor, H has enough experience Flat Water SUPing to answer your questions and will always be there to help out.
